Cabernet Sauvignon on our property in CalistogaOur Vineyards
The first vineyard on our historic downtown Calistoga property was planted in 1990 and it consisted of 200 vines of Cabernet and Merlot. In 1999, we expanded the vineyard by adding 600 more vines of Cabernet. In 2005 we pulled out the original vines and replaced them with Merlot, which will either be bottled as a varietal or used in blending for future vintages. Aside from the grapes on our own property, Jim has four other boutique vineyards in and around Calistoga that he manages. This gives him the control desired to provide the ideal fruit that is needed to produce the highest quality Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon for Grant Street Vineyards.
Our Zinfandel grapes were grown on the Navone Ranch, which is located in the Oakville area of the Napa Valley.
