Family Owned:

Planted in 1990, the first vineyard on our historic property in downtown Calistoga consisted of 200 Cabernet and Merlot vines. In 1999, we expanded our vineyard by adding 600 more vines of Cabernet. After harvesting our 2005 vintage of our Cabernet Sauvignon, the original rootstock was removed and replaced with Merlot vines which
will either be bottled as our first vintage of Merlot or will be used in blending for future vintages. 

Family Managed:

In addition to the grapes grown on our own property, Jim manages four other boutique vineyards in and around Calistoga, affording Grant Street Vineyards the unique ability to ensure that our fruit is of exceptional quality. 

Family Sourced:

We sourced the fruit for our Zinfandel from the historic Navone Ranch in Oakville.
The unique combination of exceptional terroir, rich alluvial soil unique to the Oakville area,
and mature rootstock allows our Zinfandel to express the best characteristics of the
varietal while maintaining its own unique character.
